REMOVING AN OLD BATH
August 1 2010
Below are four easy to follow steps to removing an old Bath.
STEP ONE
Turn off both the hot and cold water supplies before you start.
STEP TWO
Once the water is off, run the taps to ensure they are dry. Next, disconnect the flexible connectors to the hot and cold water supply pipes, or in the case that they are rigid supply pipes cut through them.
STEP THREE
Disconnect the trap, this is achieved by unscrewing the trap from the water pipe. If you have a bath which is channelled into the wall, use a craft knife to cut through any silicone seals and remove a row of tiles to free the bath.
STEP FOUR
Remove any remaining screws fixing the bath legs to the floor, remove the bath carefully.
